  • Successfully conducted collective bargaining for Washington, D.C.’s largest hospital for over a decade.
  • Successfully negotiated collective bargaining agreements for national security services government contractor.
  • Counseled multi-national manufacturing employer through the successful resolution of a six-month strike.
  • Negotiated employment agreements for a hedge fund president and for top executives of public and private high tech, entertainment, and retail firms, as well as physicians and lawyers, among others.
  • Principal labor and employment counsel to public company operating over twenty national retail chains.
  • Successfully represented the D.C. area’s largest apparel chain and substantial restaurant and entertainment chains as labor and employment counsel.
  • Obtained dismissal of a multitude of race, age, sex, religion, national origin, and disability discrimination and harassment charges before the EEOC and state and local human rights agencies.
  • Won summary judgment for national cablevision and media company in a disability discrimination case in the U.S. District Court for Maryland.
  • Counseled employers in the lawful design and implementation of successful election campaigns for public shoe and apparel company, retail, hotel, vending, food service, hospital, warehouse and delivery concerns, trade show contractors, entertainment, and airport service employers, among many other companies.
  • Conducted labor and employment law due diligence audits for multi-national employers including major U.S. manufacturing facility and facilities engaged in bottling, banking and in the manufacture of adhesive films, tapes, and compounds for use in a diverse range of industries.
  • Conducted harassment training seminars for upper management, supervisors, and employees for national, regional, and local employers.
  • Successfully represented software and entertainment companies in defending restrictive covenants to protect against unfair competition.
  • Prepared HR management programs, employee handbooks, human resources policies, and compliance activities for local, regional, and national employers.
  • Successfully represented national furniture manufacturer and its retail home furnishing chains for over twenty years as principal labor and employment counsel.
  • Successfully negotiated resolution of Medex v. McCabe wage payment claim in the Circuit Court of Maryland.
  • Successfully resolved negligent hire, negligent retention, and sexual harassment claims for non-profit association in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
  • Secured the withdrawal of sex harassment lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia based on DNA evidence.
  • Obtained favorable settlement of an age discrimination claim in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida.
  • Prepared diversity training for supervisors and employees of international and regional employers.
  • Designed privacy and electronic communications policies (e-mail, internet, etc.) for many clients in a variety of industries and settings.
